Torraccia di Presura is located in in a beautiful part of the Chianti Classico region where vineyards alternate with olive groves and domestic and maritime pine woods, overlooking the river Ema, about 15 km south from Florence. The place name “La Presura” refers to a past of pastures and sheep farming because in these areas herbs like cardoons were grown, used by shepherds to curdle milk and make cheese. Production notes
After the harvest, the Sangiovese grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 °C.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red in color, it has aromas of cherry, blackberry and spicy notes of undergrowth and vanilla. It is well-balanced with a nice intensity and good persistence. Goes very well with veal osso bucco with gremolata, wild mushroom risotto, roasted red meats and seasoned and blue cheeses.
