In the 19th century many individual growers in the region joined together out of economic necessity to form small wine-growing cooperatives: they aimed to work more efficiently by joining forces. In 1969, the major cooperatives merged with Hauptkellerei Koblenz to form the largest wine-growing cooperative in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz. Production notes
Gentle pressing, strict purification of musts, fermentation with selected yeasts under temperature controlled conditions, storage partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in traditional German non-toasted oak barrels until bottling. Perfect with pizza or pasta and also very enjoyable on its own. Serve slightly chilled.
