About this winery
The Mastroberardino family, leaders in Italian viticulture, are largely responsible for the revival and elevation of Irpinian and Campanian winemaking post WWII. Their efforts ignited a resurgence in quality red and white wine production in all of Southern Italy. Working primarily with Campania’s ancient, native varietals, Fiano, Greco, and Aglianico, Mastroberardino has resuscitated would-be extinct grapes into world class varieties.

Product notes
Radici, first produced in 1986, is the result of long and thorough research on vineyard exposure, the physico-chemical composition, and the structure of the soils. Its deep color, dense structure, and aromatic finesse are the most evident characteristics of this prestigious expression of Irpinian viticulture.
Production notes
Classic red wine vinification with skin maceration (about 15 days) at controlled temperatures (22–24 °C). Aging in French oak barriques and Slavonian oak casks for approximately 30 months, followed by about 42 months of bottle aging.
