Production notes
The Sognum is made partly with grapes dried on trellis (about 1/3 Amarone method) from 1 to 2 months, then 1/3 are aged in French barrels and the other 2/3 in Slovenian oak barrels; this gives the wine a superior aromatic complexity (red fruits, spicy and woody notes) and particularly melting tannins.
Tasting notes
An intense ruby red color. Complex aromas of red fruits, coffee, woody and spicy notes. Elegant on the palate, its tannins are particularly melting and it presents notes of red fruits, cedar, coffee and vanilla with hints of spices. The finish is long and lively.
