Maison D. Piron is a family Maison and emblematic of Villié-Morgon, with 14 successive generations up to Dominique Piron. Dominique's family produced and sold Gamay and Morgon wines from the 16th century! D. Piron has traveled through the ages, and even today, our philosophy is to transmit the specificities of the splendid and varied terroirs of Beaujolais. In 2013, the House added a beautiful page to its history with the arrival of Julien Revillon, a native of Lantignié, and 100% Beaujolais. Great-grandson of a Saint Amour winegrower (7 generations), and grandson of a Michelin-starred chef at the "Le Beaujolais" restaurant (you can't make it up!) in Belleville-en-Beaujolais, he is at the head of the House since 2019. He has developed the House over the years to consolidate him as a specialist in parcel selections of Morgon and Beaujolais. Eager to constantly adapt to the environment, Maison Piron preserves the most elegant finesse, the best tannins and purity in its wines. By vocation, given a large proportion of plots that can only be exploited manually, it seeks to satisfy its vines by all possible natural levers by planting, for example, plant cover, grass species, flowers, shrubs and other plants. and trees of the local flora. The vinifications are traditional, with gentle and long fermentations, and macerations either destemmed or in whole bunches depending on the terroirs and the style of the harvest. Vinifying 50 hectares of vines spread over the Beaujolais appellations, the Villages and the Brouilly, Fleurie, Chiroubles, Juliénas, Régnié, Chénas, Moulin-à-Vent, Saint-Amour and of course Morgon crus, Maison Piron offers harmonious and acclaimed by the greatest restaurants, amateurs and journalists around the world.
