Maison Léda specializes in the distribution of excellent French wines and spirits. The company was created in 1982 by the Lesgourgues Family to directly distribute its armagnacs (Château de Laubade) and wines (Château Haut Selve, Château Le Bonnat, Château Loumelat and Château Peyros) to a specialized clientele. Product notes
To be enjoyed with friends or family, as a digestif after lunch or to conclude a dinner. Best discovered with Pont-l’Évêque or Livarot cheese, with chocolate desserts, or even with a tarte flambée prepared using the same XO.
Production notes
260 acres of estate-owned vineyards in Bas-Armagnac. Four traditional grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard, and Baco (the most emblematic). Sustainable farming practices: organic fertilizer produced by 600 sheep. Grapes sourced exclusively from the estate. Artisanal in-house distillation, variety by variety. The only Armagnac house to produce its own barrels from Gascony oak, ensuring optimal aging. Aged 15 to 25 years, by grape variety and by vintage. Blend of more than 40 eaux-de-vie, predominantly Ugni Blanc.
Tasting notes
APPEARANCE : Beautiful, rich and luminous amber color. NOSE : Complex and generous, with aromas of plum, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, orange zest, dried fruits, and toasted bread. PALATE : Great finesse, femininity, and elegance. Remarkable finish that can last up to 15 minutes. Time has fully done its work.
