About this winery

The Righetti vineyards and wine cellars are and have been family owned since their foundation. Strategically located in Valgatara, in the outskirts of Marano, the heart of the Valpolicella wine producing region, the original cellar was built in 1909 by Angelo Righetti. Subsequently enlarged by his son Andrea and further expanded by the current generations; Luigi (son of Andrea) and his sons Gianmaria and Giuseppe. Production notes

The mixture is composed of 60% Corvina raisins (dried for 90 days before alcoholic fermentation). The rest is a blend of 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Rondinella and 10% Syrah. After pressing the alcoholic fermentation mixed together with "Corvina wine". It is stored for at least 13 months. 70% is in casks and 30% in barrels.

Tasting notes

Eye: deep red color. Nose: Full, intense, black fruits and cherry. Palate: Intense flavors with aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla, chocolate and a light woody taste.
