Production notes

Already owner of the Domaine de Chevalier, Olivier Bernard and his son decided to create a great wine in the heart of the Sauternes region on this magnificent terroir of old Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The result is this very great dry white wine le Clos des Lunes which expresses itself marvelously on this exceptional terroir and on this sublime 2017 vintage.

Tasting notes

Pale gold color with green reflections. On the nose, this wine is lively with hints of citrus fruit, linden and acacia. On the palate, it is full, rich, pulpy flesh of ripe Semillon, balanced, fruity and dry. This wine expresses itself through a nice exotic fruit with notes of grapefruit and lemon, a fressh acidity and a delicious finish. Can be served with seafood dishes. Foie gras is a perfect match with the natural sweetness and salinity of the wine. Also roasted chicken, veal or pork dishes whether spicy or sweet. As well as Asian recipes, sushi and firm or soft cheeses.
