Production notes

Ried (single vineyard, cru) Heiligenstein is interspersed with Riesling terraces and a true landmark of Langenlois. The “Zöbinger Perm” is a unique geological structure based on sandstone, silt, arkose and organic sediments. Some parts of the Riesling terraces contain the oldest vineyards of the estate.

Tasting notes

The intensely yellow-colored wines of Ried Heiligenstein open with a deep, highly refined and subtle yet also complex bouquet and mouthfeel that doesn't throw out anything else but noblesse, precision and finesse and quotes perfectly ripe and elegant aromas, that will be a great match for top notch fish dishes and meals concentrating on the herbal complexity of its recipes. Although being a joy drunk young, these wines improve to their top over 6 - 8 years and are famous for their ageing potential of 35 - 40 years.
