Located in Chambolle-Musigny, this estate is one of the major properties of the Côte-d'Or. It has the largest surface area in Musigny, completed by some magnificent crus such as the Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses, the bonnes-mares, as well as a rare white musigny (downgraded to white burgundy between 1993 and 2015, following replanting). The vines of Musigny (red) less than 25 years old are folded in Chambolle-Musigny premier cru. The wines of this estate have always been cited as examples for their regularity, refinement and longevity. They give a very pure reading of the terroir, with a fruit of great cleanliness, wines full of delicacy and nuances, never demonstrative. Their cold beauty is also a reflection of the vision that François Millet, who has been vinifying at the estate since 1985, has forged for himself of these exceptional terroirs. We are sensitive to his wise choices, to the innate elegance that he knows how to impress on these wines out of fashion. Almost as spectacular is the parcel of Musigny owned by Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé – 7.2 hectares (ha), amounting to 70% of the entire grand cru. Given that many Burgundy aficionados consider Musigny to be the finest vineyard of them all, that’s a holding to die for. In addition, the estate is the largest owner within another grand cru, Bonnes-Mares.
