Trees of great rarity, "delicious" strawberry trees, unique species of laurels, mysterious and furtive passages of deer in freedom, songs mixed with cicadas and birds, intoxicating perfumes. The hilly water reservoir created in 1954 by grandfather Marcel, has allowed to maintain the frequentation of a wild fauna, such as the green collars, which every year come to nest in the reeds or the egrets and grey herons which feed on the fishes populating the lake. The current shrubs are species protected by the coastal conservatory and are unique in Europe. A terroir of Exception It is in the heart of the Massif des Maures, in the commune of La Londe, in the valley which shelters the 700 hectares of the estate, that the vineyard extends over 80 hectares of south-facing slopes on a schistose soil. It is the domain of phyllades, rocks with little crystallophyllization, a mixture of quartz clay or chlorite. On the surface, there is a gravelly and pebbly horizon very rich in quartz and underneath, a layer still gravelly but with a brown-yellow clay matrix. The penetration of water into this bedrock is favoured by the schistosity. At 40 or 50 cm, the bedrock is found in small vertical schistose banks. The grape varieties of our Domaine The ten grape varieties present on the estate adapt perfectly to this Mediterranean climate. They plunge their roots deep into the soil in order to draw all the minerality of this unique terroir, thus giving birth to great red wines for laying down and to rosés and whites of rare elegance. Our whites: Rolle and Sémillon Our rosés : Grenache, Cinsault, Tibouren Our reds : Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan. Climatology The climate of La Londe is characterized by a Mediterranean mesoclimate that is more temperate than inland, due to the maritime influence that mitigates low winter temperatures and high summer temperatures. Precipitation is much lower than in inland areas, winds are strong and more regular.
