Product notes

What if Claux was the best wine of Saint Cosme? In the light of the latest tastings of old wines that we have conducted in the field, it is permissible to ask the question. Certainly, the Clause is the most old vine of Saint Cosme and one of the first post-phylloxera plantations in France.

Production notes

Very old grenaches complantees at the location "Le Claux". Whole harvest. Ageing of twelve months: 20% new pieces - 50% pieces of one wine - 30% pieces of two wines. Bottled without filtration.

Tasting notes

Black raspberry and cherry liqueur aromas are accompanied by potpourri, mocha, vanilla and baking spice nuances, along with a mineral flourish. Deftly balances richness and vivacity and finishes extremely long and spicy, with smooth, harmonious tannins
