Product notes

In the heart of the Barbaresco appellation, in the valley just below Martinenga, the two vineyards face south-southwest. The Barbera is located at an average altitude of 735 feet, while the Cabernet is slightly higher, at 792 feet.

Production notes

Traditional vinification in vats with twenty days of maceration on the skins and complete malolactic fermentation after alcoholic fermentation. The two grape varieties are vinified separately and blended only before bottling. Aged in French oak barrels for twenty-eight months, followed by refinement in the bottle before release.

Tasting notes

Color: deep ruby red with purple highlights. Nose: intense and persistent, with notes of chalk, ripe fruit, rose, pepper, and chocolate. Palate: full-bodied, delicate, and harmonious; the aromas prolong and intensify the characteristics of the nose, with a pleasant and persistent finish. The structure of the Cabernet and the acidity from Barbera make this wine a great match not only with red meat and medium aged cheeses, but also with rich pasta dishes.
