The name Reynac was designed with a trailing "ac" typical of the region of Charentes (Cognac, Jarnac, Mérignac, etc). This Celtic sounding reflects the different historic possessions of Charentes and means property, fiefdom. "Rey" which means "king", gives noble origins to the product. Reynac could therefore be translated as "the King's fiefdom".
