Production notes

Crozes-Hermitage is tenderness, kindness, and softness. To understand the significant difference between the northern slopes of Saint Joseph (such as the towns of Malleval, Chavanay, Saint Pierre de Bœuf) and the slopes of Crozes-Hermitage (Gervans, Erôme, Larnage), one must begin by explaining the climate difference: there is as much of a climatic difference between Vinsobres and Crozes-Hermitage as there is between Malleval and Crozes-Hermitage. This explains why Crozes always offers wines that are riper, smoother, and more "accessible" than its northern counterpart
